I thought it gave me the right to join you, however, after trying all morning to reach your President with this message. Please know that this is the only JUG to which I belong at the monment, and I would very like to remain a member permanently. JUGs have been very supportive of my work in the past.

Java FX Boot Camp in Dublin

Java Champion Jim Weaver will be in Dublin in June/July running a 2.5 day "boot camp"-style tech session on the hottest thing in Rich Client application at the moment - JavaFX!

Sun Grants for Working On Open Source Projects

JDJ has just posted an interview discussing the details of a money grant that Sun is giving for developers to work on open source projects.
The idea is that developers can submit ideas, and the best ideas will receive a money grant to be implemented. Developers can submit ideas in teams or individually. The prizes are very good, and may interest developers in your area.

Irish Web technology Conference

The Irish Web technology Conference, the sister event of the IJTC Conference takes place in CineWorld at the end of the month. The event's aim is to showcase the Irish Web Industry. It's a four day event with a total of 10 track, and 50 session.
