Just to give a quick run-down on how the meeting went yesterday. It was very well attended for a summer meeting. We had a long table in Thomas Reads and several conversations on the go at all times. Topics ranged from how to hide a program in a JPEG, to Ryanair vs Aer Lingus and which had the better website.

Discussions about the theme were kept until the end of the night when one contribution was a demo of a stop-watch written by one participant which works faster (yes, faster!) on different VMs. For those of you that were there and witnessed my demonstration on the toughness of proximity cards, I hope to have my new one by the next meeting :-(

Though the place was good the table was long so people at one end couldn't join in conversations at the other. For the July meeting we have to do some venue-scouting to see if we can come up with something better: all suggestions welcome. There were a few last night that ranged from the Central Hotel to the basement of a bar on Dame Street which has a big table and is free but can be reserved. I plan on having a look at a few places in the next week or two.

The second Tuesday of August is 12th so expect something in your mailbox about August 7th or so with the information about where to go!
