The next Java meetup will take place on Tuesday the 17th of June. As the forum bar is under renovation we will move down the street to Thomas Reeds (opposite City Hall). The meeting will take place at the usual time of 19.30.

The date is a slight departure from the usual 2nd Tuesday of each month, so make a note in your diary. Reminders will be sent a few days before the meeting.

We will have more swag to give away thanks to Jake, including signed copies of Joshua Bloch's "Effective Java" (revised edition), DZone refcardz and of course the obligatory T-shirts.

Last month some of the swag was distributed to the winners of a mini trivial pursuit competition. Let's just say not all the Java programmers present displayed encyclopedic knowledge of geography and history, or maybe it was just the debilitating effects of alcohol kicking in towards the end of the meetup ;-)
