We are assisting our client, a leading financial software development firm in sourcing candidates with strong core Java / J2EE exposure and a high level of expertise in messaging tools and eventing mechanisms. You will have experience developing technology allowing for the transmission of server side data events to multiple output venues (email, logging, product user interface, external systems) and receipt of control events in a pseudo real time, multithreaded environment. Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years experience in core java development, and should be capable of demonstrating ‘hands on’ development and deployment experience with candidate lightweight ESB technologies. The project is at an early stage so the opportunity exists to make a key contribution to the technology selection and implementation. The ideal candidate will be technology focused, retaining a high degree of awareness within relevant technology fields and core java technologies. You will be detail focused with high attention to detail and strong problem solving abilities. You will have knowledge of design patterns and of high availability, redundancy failover. Linux knowledge preferred but not essential and candidates will ideally have exposure to oracle database infrastructure.
